folk and country music singer and songwriter
7:30 pm Lucinda Williams is an American
rock, folk and country music singer and
songwriter. A three-time Grammy Award
winner, she was named “America’s best
songwriter” by TIME magazine in 2002. Her
1998 album Car Wheels on a Gravel Road
was Williams’ breakthrough to the
mainstream. The album contained the single
“Still I Long for Your Kiss” from the Robert
Redford film The Horse Whisperer. Her most
recent album, West, was released in 2007.

Royal Canadian Mounted Police from the
Potlatch Collection

75 years ago the Northwest Paper Company
of Cloquet, Minnesota recruited the image of
the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, or
Mounties, to advertise its papers to the
printing industry. A variety of Mountie
merchandise is currently available in the
museum store. In celebration of the RCMP
exhibition; the Tweed Museum Store is
offering 20% off all Mountie merchandise,
from May 23rd through September 7th.
